Handmade by an Italian artist. As the artist slices out the “holes” by hand, she must carefully balance the weight of the wet clay on all sides simultaneously. Too many holes on one side and the balance is disrupted…and well…disaster occurs. Once the piece makes it through it’s first firing, it is strong and sturdy…but the journey is not complete. It is then meticulously hand painted and fired again. When we lit this lamp, we were delighted to discover a dazzling display of dancing stars on our ceiling. You will be enchanted too, whether you use a candle or a light bulb. May be wired for American or European use.
